Pre History
Plague was once a witch doctor for his people and studied the arts of rebirth and rejuvenation. When he found the secrets, he wrote what he could by the book. At some point in his life, he was killed in a slaughter and massacre of attacking soldiers. When the news spread about his death, someone got a hold of his book and used the secrets that Plague found on Plague himself. Since he was the one who knew the secrets, it's only fitting to bring back the doctor who can control it as well.
