The Tournament Begins Anew
Don't be fooled by her schoolgirl charm. Sakura is far from your average teenager. After witnessing her idol, Ryu, win the first World Warrior Tournament, she was instantly inspired to become a fighter he would be proud of. She traveled the world in hopes of persuading Ryu to train her, but is turned away when he confesses that he himself has much to learn and cannot take on a pupil. Now word on the street is that a new fighting tournament is starting up and Sakura enters with head held high, hoping to see Ryu once more.

Having witnessed one of Ryu's fights by pure chance, Sakura endeavored to imitate his style and began street fighting herself. Like a true youngster, she seems to get a genuine thrill out of fighting despite the danger, often developing her own new moves.

A high school girl who began to street fight after meeting Ryu. Her fighting style as well as her clothing -- complete with headband -- also matches that of Ryu. She never forgets to train every day and always puts forth her best effort in everything.
