A barbed wire ring with hanging explosives. You'll soon find the barbed wire is only for show, as the regenerating bombs on either side are the only thing to worry about here.

What seems to be a safe battle at a dilapidated power plant soon explodes into action, as strange devices descend from the sky and shoot lightning seemingly at random.

Death Match - Oil Battle (Arena)
While two piddly patches of oil may have been enough for the original Heroes, the entire floor of this stage is covered in a slippery substance. Some moves may even have unexpected momentum-altering effects.

France (Arena)
The setting sun here surely represents the end of one era of French royalty, as Janne leads her people to victory over the ruling class. At the end of a round, the cannon will misfire, revealing a French flag. BGM: "The Female Swordsman of a Different Crown"

Germany (Arena)
Searchlights scan a dilapidated wall moments before a Jagdpanther tank crashes through, revealing the wartorn factory background. BGM: "German Armored Division Requiem #9"

Japan (Field) (Arena)
A judo training field flanked by cherry blossom trees in full bloom. A majestic castle looms in the background. BGM: "Like the Blossoms Scattered by the Dancing Winds"

Japan (Forest) (Arena)
The two ninjas crouching center-stage before the match leap off and cavort about the open field during the battle. If Hanzou is defeated, the ninjas will return and shed tears (they cheer if he wins). BGM: "Intuition"

Japan (Temple) (Arena)
A temple scene with a number of monks. On major impact, a monkey will fall from the sky, surprised, and walk away sheepishly. At the end of the round, a goldfish banner unfurls over the gate. BGM: "Before the Hand Comes the Leg"

Korea (Arena)
Tourists cheer the combatants from the safety of a bus. The ladies to the right will brandish a chicken and threaten it with scissors at the end of a round. BGM: "Mighty Stroke"

Mongolia (Arena)
A majestic palace courtyard ruled over by a queen, flanked by guards. One dwarfish guard strafes back and forth to make certain the fighters keep in line. BGM: "Mongolian Dynamite"

Norway (Arena)
Erick's bold viking companions cheer for his victory, although the one with the hammer looks a little out of it. Don't get seasick as the ship undulates up and down. BGM: "Fjord of the Arctic Night"

Papua New Guinea (Arena)
Birds of paradise criss-cross the starry sky over this tribal village. A tremor may cause the dancer's grass skirts to fall down. BGM: "M'madmeeeen!"

Russia (Arena)
Peasants brave the cold to show their support for the Mad Monk. The snowman's head will bounce off each time a serious impact occurs. BGM: "Russian Speculator"

|
Seven Seas (Arena)
This undersea cave is home to many bats, as well as Captain Kidd's accumulated rich stuff. A skeleton tirelessly guards the treasure, but his head rolls off at the end of a round. BGM: "Nice Guy of the Seven Seas"

Thailand (Arena)
An ornate buddhist temple; those incorrigible monks shuffle around the stage. Should a fighter be slammed to the ground, the cat will frighten and try to climb one of the pillars, only to fall and cry out. BGM: "Tiger Nail"

U.S.A. (Construction) (Arena)
Swarthy construction workers cheer the fight rather than do their job. One particularly rowdy worker paces back and forth across the stage. BGM: "Black Out #1"

|
U.S.A. (Urban) (Arena)
A seedy street at nighttime, graffiti plasters the walls and abandoned vehicle. Headlights of passing cars can be seen racing by in the foreground while two fun-loving fellows step to the beat in the back. BGM: "Johnny Let's Dance"
