Captain of Squad 11. A powerful Soul Reaper who has an aggressive attitude to match. He became captain by defeating the previous captain even though he is unable to use Bankai. He handicaps himself with an eyepatch and bells, to prolong and enjoy his fights. His name, Kenpachi, means he will not fall, no matter how many times he is slashed.
