Ichigo's classmate at Karakura First High School. Nickname: Chad. A big man of few words and monstrous strength, but despite his looks, he is kind and likes cute things. His abilities awakened and his right arm transformed when he saved Ichigo's younger sisters from Hollows. Friends with Ichigo since middle school, he cherishes a promise they made long ago.
