Pre History
Born near Siberia in the days of the U.S.S.R., Piotr Rasputin developed the ability to cover his body with a powerful organic metal during adolescence. Rasputin was recruited by Professor Xavier to save the mutant team known as the X-Men from the sentient island Krakoa. Following this, Piotr stayed in the United States as a member of the X-Men.

Born and raised in Russia, this impressionable young farmer left his homeland behind to serve man and mutantkind--joining the X-Men as the armored mutant, Colossus! In his organic steel form, Colossus becomes nearly invincible, as well as fantastically strong--he can lift as much as 70 tons!
