Derrick Stone
Duels of Fortune Storyline
Talent sadly doesn't come naturally for everyone. Derrick has always been one of the lowest-ranking students of Master Locks' dojo, having trained for several years yet still not being good enough to advance past the basic white belt. Despite that fact, and the constant teasing and belittling from his fellow students, he never gives up on his dreams. He's easily the most spirited and hard-working member of the dojo, and this does not go unrecognised by his master. In fact, Locks and Derrick are very friendly with each other, and Locks will do anything to help Derrick improve... even if the improvement in question is painfully slow.

In spite of what others might tell you, Derrick is really one of the most outgoing and charismatic guys you could ever know. He might not be very bright, or stong, or cool, or even very funny at times, but he's got all the heart to make up for it. Aside from Locks himself, Derrick is the only person who's been willing to befriend the stoic and unemotive Shoto Kanji, and he considers the karate prodigy to be his best friend. Shoto doesn't often express his appreciation in turn, but Derrick believes he feels the same way deep down.

Derrick, along with the rest of the dojo, joins the Duels of Fortune tournament on the recommendation of Master Locks, hoping to test his students' skills in a practical environment.
Shoto Kanji
Duels of Fortune Storyline
Shoto was first brought to Master Locks' dojo by a young man he had met recently, Derrick Stone. Noticing Shoto's incredible hairstyle, Master Locks took him on as a pupil without any hesitation, and he began climbing through the belt ranks in no time at all. Everyone was astonished by Shoto's rapid progression, many wondering if he even needed the training at all. He went on to receive his black belt faster than any other student in the dojo's history, and became a full-time student of the dojo. Along the way, he was befriended by Derrick and Master Locks himself, becoming a big part of both their lives, though he's remained very closed-off and emotionless toward the two. He never really talks about himself or his past, save from the fact that he is from Taiyo, leaving others puzzled as to why he came to Eagleton in the first place.

While he is a mostly friendly person, Shoto shows basically no emotion whatsoever, and the only thing he really like to talk about for very long is karate, which inadvertently makes him feel mysterious and intimidating to those around him. When asked why he's like this, he just stares off into space, muttering something about "family" before trying to change the subject.

Shoto, along with the rest of the dojo, joins the Duels of Fortune tournament on the recommendation of Master Locks, hoping to test his students' skills in a practical environment.
Sir Rattlebone
Duels of Fortune Storyline
In life, Rattlebone was a noble knight loyally serving the royal family of Kingsland, until one day he fell victim to a freak trebuchet accident that ended his life. It wasn't until 500 years later that he was brought back to life by a necromancer, who wanted him as the commander of his army of fellow skeleton knights. Though the necromancer wasn't nobility, the knight still accepted his request, and fought valiantly against the opposing army of skeleton pirates. However, unable to recall his own name, the knight was forced to adopt a new moniker: Sir Rattlebone. After the Skeleton War ended, Rattlebone was laid back to rest. But his eternal slumber would once again be interrupted another few centuries later, when he was brought back by a different necromancer to do their bidding. However, sensing that this necromancer's intentions were much more sinister, he politely declined to offer his services and promptly ran away. Now he finds himself stranded and alone in the unfamiliar modern world, utterly baffled by its aesthetics and technology.

True to his history, Rattlebone is overly polite and chivalrous, and fights with nothing less than absolute honour. However, he still tends to have no idea what's going on in this world that's completely alien to him, and he's quite prone to being startled.

Rattlebone joins the Duels of Fortune tournament to fight alongside his newfound companions, Clyde Brightstar and Annie Dasteel, and attempt to uncover the truth about the tournament's inner workings.
Annie Dasteel
Duels of Fortune Storyline
Born without a right arm due to a birth defect, Annie remained mostly unfazed by this handicap for much of her childhood. Tragically, her parents passed away when she was just six years old, mauled to death while fighting mutants who still lurked in the Badlands. From there, Annie's aunt and uncle took her in and cared for her. The two of them were both mechanics, and from them, the young Annie acquired a fascination with machines as well. Her sheer talent for engineering was incredible, mostly thanks to her developing aspect. After only a few years, she was amazingly able to build not only a mechanical arm to fill in for the one she never had, but also a robotic A.I. companion, who later came to be known as Gizmo. She was an absolute prodigy, and her skills only continued to grow as she aged.

Annie is kind and outgoing, always willing to make new friends... unfortunately, though, due to her lack of confidence and general social awkwardness, she rarely ever succeeds in doing so. Some people even go so far as to make fun of her for her prosthetic. But despite all that, she never stops trying. And unbeknownst to her, during the Duels of Fortune, her efforts might just end up finally paying off.

Annie joins the Duels of Fortune tournament in the hopes of winning, and wishing for enough money to save her aunt and uncle's family business from bankruptcy.
Clyde Brightstar
Duels of Fortune Storyline
After quickly rising to the top and blowing the competition completely out of the water, Clyde managed to become the youngest boxing champion in Eagleton history at just 20 years old. His biggest motivator, in his eyes, is his disposition towards his father Baron. Baron had previously quit boxing, becoming frustrated over not being able to find an opponent who could match him, and he allowed that frustration to take over his life. It got to the point where he eventually ended up leaving his family to pursue his own goals, all when Clyde was still a child. Now a young adult, Clyde harbours a deep-seeded hatred for his father and his actions, and wants to prove that he is the better man in every way.

Clyde is pretty cocky and stubborn, and very prone to misjudging or underestimating people. Needless to say, he has a bit of trouble making friends, not that he's very interested in doing so. Still, despite all that, he really does care about others. You just might have a hard time getting him to show it.

Clyde joins the Duels of Fortunes tournament hoping to test his fighting abilities against fighters with all sorts of different styles.

The bed can continue to act independently after Bedman’s death due to the program he entered in his last moments.

Although capable of simple communication, complex conversation taking the other party into consideration and storage of daily memories is out of the scope of its abilities.

Delilah:
Bedman’s sister.
She has the same unique condition as her brother, and has been able to live only through dreams due to her incredible cognitive abilities. However, she descends into the real world through the Absolute World created by Bedman in his dying moments.
Her true capabilities are restricted as a means to keep her body anchored in reality (something Delilah herself is unaware of).
Her brother’s bed is always at her side, protecting her (sometimes going overboard in doing so).

Although she possesses incredible power and unparalleled cognitive abilities, she’s well aware that she lacks an understanding of current events and the subtleties of others’ emotions.
She also realizes she is lacking in experience communicating with others, but she finds herself frustrated at her own child-like emotions despite them being natural for her age.
Ever-growing wild boy
Guilty Gear: Strive Storyline
He is the child of Ky Kiske, Allied King of Illyria, and Dizzy, a half-Gear, making him one-quarter Gear.
Ky entrusted him to Sol as a child to avoid unwanted attention due to his incredible rate of growth caused by his Gear blood.
Sol’s education leaned a bit too far into survival (self-admittedly), leading to Sin now being strong but mischievous and somewhat lacking in the academic department.
Despite his looks, he’s actually not even ten years old yet, and is still rather immature mentally.
He’s optimistic and doesn’t think too deeply about things. He could be called clueless at worst, and innocent at best. His simplistic thinking, however, can lead to a breakthrough in handling situations at times.

Guilty Gear: Strive Storyline
Bridget was born one of two twin sons of a multi-billionaire couple and was given only the best training and tutoring as a child. However, Bridget's upbringing was what one would expect for a daughter of a high-society family instead of a son.

There was a reason for this: Bridget's hometown had a superstitious belief that male twins brought misfortune. The townspeople were so embedded in this belief that they insisted the younger of any set of male twins be put to death or be exiled from the town upon birth. Unable to swallow either of the options, the twins' parents raised Bridget as a daughter.

While Bridget strove to put on a happy front, these efforts only seemed to cause Bridget's parents more pain. Bridget began to think that behaving like a man and bringing home a vast array of riches would prove that the superstitions were unfounded.
Although unsuccessful in capturing Dizzy for her bounty, Bridget showed talent as a bounty hunter and managed to bring home great wealth. This led to the village superstition fading, but it also left Bridget without a goal.
Bridget now works as a bounty hunter while searching for a purpose.
